2 Port Print Server USB/Parallel SX-200-0213
The SX-200-0213 lets multiple users share one USB or parallel port printer via network. This allows the users to fully utilize the benefits of maximum printing speeds and less waiting time due to shorter printing queues.
Two ports in one unit significantly reduce the cost on a per-printer basis. Since only one network connection and one network address is required for two printers, the SX-200 saves additional costs. Using a USB hub, the SX-200-0213 can network 8 USB printers and 1 parallel printer.
SX-200 offers security features on Enterprise level, like TCP/IP access control lists, complete protocol or application control (enable/disable), passwords for read/write access, and SNMP community name configuration.
This print server provides the option of being able to print simultaneously from different computer and network operating systems, including Windows, UNIX, Linux, Solaris, NetWare, Macintosh, OS/2, and DEC LAT. The USB 2.0 Hi-Speed port supports printers with USB 1.1 and 2.0 connections. The IEEE1284 parallel port is compatible with most parallel printers, including units with Hi-Speed ECP with bi-directional communication.
Despite its many options even inexperienced users will be comfortable with its installation and setup while the advanced configuration features are available to network experts.
