22.07.2011 | Mac OS X Lion 10.7 tested with SX-VL forMac OS

After first tests with Mac OS X Lion the latest version of SX-VL works fine on the latest version of the apple operating system that is available since 20th of July 2011.
Official compatibility not yet confirmed by parent company in Japan.

With the latest firmware the SX-2500CG supports multi client mode. You can connect a hub/switch to the device and create a bridge for multiple devices! You can network 2 or more Ethernet ready devices into a wireless network.

01.12.2010 | Dymo LabelWriter 450 Duo and Turbo supported by SX-3000GB

The SX-3000GB supports the 2 Dymo LabelWriter 450 Duo and Turbo.
On the Dymo LabelWriter Duo printing is supported via SX-VL and on the labels also via IP printing. For the tape only printing via SX-VL is supported.
For the LabelWriter Turbo IP printing and SX-VL is supported.

A new version of SX-Virtual Link is released. Version 3.6.1 for Windows is now available at the download section.

Today we have tested 4 Plustek Scanners with the SX-3000GB. You can use them also over the network and share them with multiple users or on virtual systems with the Gigabit Device Server.

06.09.2010 | NetDA-1 is compatible with Mac OS

Due to new display link drivers the NetDA is now also compatible with MacOS.
Tested on a Mac Book with 10.6.5, 32Bit version. See picture:

11.06.2010 | USB to Centronix adapter tested to be compatible

A USB zu Centronix adapter has been tested to be compatible with SX-3000GB and SX-2000WG+.

With the help of this adapter it is possible to network a printer that only has a parallel interface with the device server SX-3000GB (wired) or SX-2000WG+ (wireless).

The adapter has a chip from the company "Prolific Technology inc." and the precise information on the product sticker is "FT-USB-1284". In general any USB to parallel adapter should be working.

27.05.2010 | New Canon scanners tested with SX-3000GB

Canon DR-2510C inkl. flatbed unit 101, Canon DR-9050C and
Canon P-150 are tested to be compatible with the SX-3000GB.

30.10.2009 | New Fujitsu scanners tested to be compatible with SX-2000U2

The scanners S300, S300M, S1500, S1500M, fi-5530C2, fi-6230, fi-6240, fi-5015C, fi-5110C are tested on Windows XP / Mac OS 10.6.1 with the SX-2000U2 and SX-VL 3.2.3 / 3.1.0 and are all working without any problem. This enables you to use those scanners over the network.

Tested on a Windows 7 ultimate 32bit OS: SX-Virtual Link 3.2.3 is compatible. You can be confident that your silex device server will also work with Windows 7.

08.05.2009 | Hyper-V extension from Microsoft Windows Server 2008 compatible with device servers

Hyper-V extension from Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is also working on several customer systems with the device servers SX-1000U, SX-2000U2, SX-2000WG.

You just need to follow the instructions available for usage on VMWare based systems to implement the Microsoft USB drivers into your virtual system:

This enables you to use USB dongles, scanners, ISDN solutions and other hardware on the virtual systems as if the connection was made on a local USB port.

The scanners Plustek PL2546 , Plustek PL812, Plustek PL806, Plustek PL3000, Plustek PL7000, Plustek PS286 have been tested to be compatible with the SX-2000U2. They are added to the compatibility list.

The C-6700WG was tested to be compatible with the Canon LBP5360 and the Canon MF4320d, MF4330d, MF4340d, MF4350d, MF4370dn, MF4380dn.

Version 3.1.0 of SX-Virtual Link is now available in Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese language.

The new version of SX-VL was released today, so far only available in Englisch and Japanese, EU versions will follow shortly.

The new mixing unit V-mixer M400 RSS powered by roland has been tested to be compatible with the SX-2000WG. The SX-2000WG enables the event manager to control volume from every location in the room with the help of the software that comes with mixing unit. 11.02.2008 | DATEV and Aladdin USB (AKS Hardlock) is supported on USB Device Servers

In order to get the Datev software version 19 running on for example VMWare without real USB support the SX-2000U2 with firmware version 2.1.3 and SX-VL 2.3.1 has been tested. The result was that it is working. The dongle is connected over the network and can be stored at a safe location for example.

16.01.2008 | 3 Tablets are now supported by SX-2000U and SX-2000WG

3 Tablet devices have been tested. They basically work like a replacement for a mouse, are quite usefull for grafic designers for example. Check the compatibility list for more details.

With the new firmware 1.1.1 for WiDock now also the iPod Classic and iPod nano (3rd generation) is supported.

The Epson MFP DX8400 has been tested with the SX-2000U2 and SX-2000WG: All functions are supported. The unit is added to the list of compatible devices.

09.11.2007 | Reiner SCT Smart Card Reader compatible

2 devices from Reiner SCT have been tested for compatibility: Reiner SCT cyberJack e-com USB and Reiner SCT cyberJack pinpad USB now added to the list of compatible devices for SX-2000U2 and SX-2000WG.

29.10.2007 | Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) version of SX-VL under development

We are already working on a version of SX-Virtual Link for Mac OS 10.5, you will find the download as usual in the download area. There is not yet a fixed date when this will become available, but we are working on it.

The document scanners HP ScanJet 7800 and ScanJet 8270 were successfully tested with the USB Device Server SX-2000U2. Both devices were added to the list of compatible devices.
