Thank you for responding so quickly - very nice to see your support is as
good as your reputation!

I was under the impression that the SX-1000U supports the same hardware as
the SX-2000U2, just that the 1000 would be slower. As we're using the USB
device server for very low speed devices (Uninterruptable Power Supply, fax,
printer etc), we have no need for the speed boost gained in purchasing the
more expensive SX-2000U2. But if you're saying the 2000 does, in fact,
support more hardware it's something we'll need to look to in future.

So, a Typhoon 56k USB Modem would work with the 1000U? ISDN is not required,
as the fax line is analogue... If this is so, I will order one immediately,
as my customer is growing impatient!

As for our Devolo device - yes, it works just fine when plugged directly
into an XP machine. Drivers are installed automatically without need for the
Devolo CD and the modem appears in the device manager expected.

Hi, thank you. Not sure what happened, but I kept redownloading the program and trying to open it with Stuffit and the same thing kept happening. Suddenly, for no reason I can fathom, it just worked, decompressing properly and I was able to install the software. Thank you anyway for sending the program!

All is working great. What a nifty device too! My Canon Scanner works fine (I was expecting the buttons not to work or something like that, but they work a treat - I can initiate a Scan form the scanner itself and it files away the scanned image with my preset settings just as it does when the scanner is plugged into the Mac itself!). The Dymo 330 Turbo labelwriter also works absolutely fine. Very impressed!

I must also commend you on your excellent customer service - a rarity these days. Our customers often say to us what a pleasure it is to deal with us as we are extremely focused on customer service quality, and it is a rare thing. It was refreshing indeed to receive such quick replies to my emails. When I contacted the agent here to explain that I needed to network a Dymo printer on a mixed network, they said they didn't have
  any idea whether it was possible, and passed over the details to yourselves. Within an hour or two, someone was on the phone from Germany explaining how to do what I needed! Utterly fantastic service.

So top marks and thank you immensely for making this whole process very straightforward.
